I've been starting to drink tea a little more often and I just keep coming up with questions. Things like, "What in the world is Bergamot?" I asked the internet and it claimed it was both a citrus fruit (used to flavor tea) AND a north-american herb used to brew tea. Does the world really need to be this confusing? How am I supposed to know if my tea is a pretentious english tea or a yuppie herb tea now?
I suppose it doesn't matter that much. My tea drinking is still a tad uncouth, I'm just discovering the need for a tea pot: tea bags float. A wad of paper floating at the top of the mug just isn't that appetizing. Now some may say brown-colored water doesn't look that tasty either. Having drank plain old hot water before, I can tell you that it is much tastier.
The color isn't that strange. All but one of the life-giving beverages are brown: coffee, tea, the colas. Mountain Dew is somewhat closer to neon green--not that that color is any better for food.
And my tea's cold.
I blame 'appetizing', pretentious didn't require a dictionary check.
